Since the <strong>E-50 turret was incapable of mounting more powerful cannons<\/strong>, the <strong>Ausf. B adopted the E-75\u2019s standard turret<\/strong>, allowing for the installation of <strong>larger-caliber, high-velocity guns<\/strong>.<\/p><p>With a <strong>total production of approximately 500 units<\/strong>, the <strong>E-60 Ausf. B<\/strong> became the <strong>first true heavy combat version of the series<\/strong>, before eventually being replaced by the <strong>more refined Ausf. D model<\/strong>.<\/p><h2><strong>Design and Features<\/strong><\/h2><p>As an <strong>interim solution<\/strong> before the <strong>development of a dedicated E-60 turret<\/strong>, the <strong>Sabeltiger Ausf.
